Coastline Foraging at Cambois

A wild and rugged environment, many wild edibles thrive out on the coast, and there are even a few which can only be found there. Come along on a Coastline Foraging Walk and explore the incredible abundance of wild edibles, as we take a walk along the Northumberland coast at Cambois, amongst the dunes and wild spaces above the beach.

- What to Expect -

🌱You will learn how to correctly identify around 15-20 wild edibles, which can include a mixture of flowers, fruits, foliage and fungi.

🌱You'll learn how to forage safely and within the law.

🌱We'll cover how to act sustainably when out and about and why it's particularly important in preserving the Northumberland landscape.

🌱I'll be sharing tips on how to use wild food in the kitchen, including how to prepare, store and preserve them and make the most of your harvest.

🌱We'll also look at the medicinal and nutritional benefits of the wild edibles we come across.

- What to Bring -

Please dress for the unpredicatable British weather, and wear whatever footwear you feel comfortable in. 

Feel free to bring a notepad and pen if you want to take notes along the way.

- Accessibility -

This route is  mostly over level ground, but we will be going over grass, sand and sand dunes. There are two car parks available nearby, which can become busy at peak times. There are no public toilet facilities available nearby.

Assistance dogs are always welcome.

Children under the age of 14 are free to attend the Coastline Foraging Walk so long as they come along with a paying adult.
