About the Event

Join us on the Forager's Ramble through open countryside, along hedgerows and through woodlan, and explore the incredible abundance of wild edibles in Autumn in Northumberland. The trail will take us from Cramlington along to Seaton Deleval, where we will stop off for a lunch break, after which we will turn around and come back along the way we came, gathering blackberries as we go.

This event will last around 3-4 hours, with a stop in the middle for lunch. We will be covering about 4 miles in total.

- What to Expect -

🌱You will learn how to correctly identify wild edibles, which can include flowers, fruits, foliage and fungi.

🌱How to forage safely and within the law.

🌱How to act sustainably when out and about.

🌱How to use wild food in the kitchen, including tips on how to prepare, store and preserve them and make the most of your harvest.

🌱We'll also look at the medicinal and nutritional benefits of the wild edibles we come across.

🌱You'll return home with a delicious bounty of blackberries.

🌱 After the event, you'll recieve a free pdf copy of 'Foraging For Blackberries' a short guide to foraging for Blackberries, their uses and medicinal benefits and a few folktales as well. This guide also includes a few of all of my favourite blackberry recipes as well.

🌱I'll be bringing along a few wild snacks to share with the group, made using seasonal ingredients.
