About the Event
It  is a common belief that you need to live deep in the countryside to  enjoy foraging, but once you start to look closer  at the small pockets of green spaces hiding in plain sight around towns and cities, you’ll  wonder why you never saw it all before!
Join us as we explore  and appreciate the abundance of Summer, and learn all about how these plants can be used, their traditions and folkstories, as well as their herbal and nutirional benefits.Â
What to Expect
You will learn how to correctly identify plants  and flowers with confidence, how to forage safely and within the law, as well as how to act sustainably when out and about.
I'll be sharing with you my own tips for how to use wild food in the kitchen, how to prepare, store and preserve, as well as information on more traditional recipies and usages.Â
Where to Meet
We'll be meeting at Cramlington train station, for an easy and central meeting point and then moving on. The walk will last for aproximately 1 and 1/2 hours, and we'll be returning to the train station at the end.
What to Bring
Please dress for the unpredicatable British weather, and wear whatever footwear you feel comfortable in, but be prepared for muddy pathways if there has been rain.
Feel free to bring a notepad and pen if you want to take notes along the way.
Extra Information
Children under the age of 14 are free to attend all of my foraging walks so long as they come along with a paying adult.Â
An email will be sent out to all attendees a few days before the event to email addresses used during the booking process to confirm all of the details and meeting information.
