Wildcrafting Workshop: Flower Press And Foraging Walk

Pressing flowers is an art which can be dated back to the 16th Century. There is something quite endearing about preserving the delicate blooms of Spring and Summer, and turning them into something altogether quite different which will last much longer than their season. 

- What to Expect - 

In this Wildcrafting workshop,  you'll be provided with the materials needed to build your very own quailty flower press which you can use to press the flowers you have collected on a guided walk around one of Cramlington's green spaces. You will learn how to identify and sustainably forage for the wild flowers and foliage which are perfect for pressing. 

We will also be exploring the early Summer adundance of wild food as we go around gathering wild flowers.

- What to Bring -

The route is predominatly along paths and cycletracks so please wear whatever shoes you feel comfortable in.

If you have any of you're own flowers from your garden that you want to experiment with pressing, then please feel free to bring those along too.

- Accessibility -

This route is mostly over footpaths and cycletracks, but if you have any accesibilty requirements  I ask that you can please get in touch before booking just to make sure that this route is right for you.

- Extra Information -

Each participate is required to purchase one ticket, this includes children under the age of 14 who wish to make a flower press. This is to make sure that there are enough materials to go around. 

An email will be sent out to all attendees a few days before the event to email addresses used during the booking process to confirm all of the details and meeting information.
